Kericho County reviews licence fees downwards

The county government has reduced fees for some licences. This followed consultative meetings between Governor Paul Chepkwony's (pictured) administration and traders.

Medium-sized shops with between five and 10 employees will now pay Sh15,000, down from Sh20,000 for single-business permits.

Smaller shops that employ less than four people will be charged Sh10,000, down from Sh15,000. Butcheries with roast meat or soup kitchens will pay Sh7,000, down from Sh10,000.
