Children no longer safe with parents

Reports that a man and his wife in Kuresoi beat their 11-year-old daughter to death for attending a circumcision ceremony without permission are saddening.

To start with, it is unbelievable that parents can do that to their own child. That even after the minor started bleeding from her nostrils, her parents were unmoved. In fact, they went ahead and tied her hands and legs and beat her some more. In the end, an innocent life has been lost. My question is: What has become of this society?
