A new dawn to AFC Leopards

Finally, AFC Leopards has a legally elected office. This is a new dawn to the 12-time Kenya Premier League champions; a club that has suffered immensely due to poor leadership and wrangles in the club. The new office brings with it peace and stability to the club, with all the energy focused on making the team successful again.

The poor club leadership, since former chair Alex Ole Magelo left office, has had gigantic effects on the club. Sponsors are leaving, losing key players to rival clubs and fans shunning away from attending games, just but to name a few. The mismanagement of funds had seen the club plunge into bankruptcy, with players going for months without salaries and others playing with an empty stomach. Good coaches have since left the club due to the poor leadership and it all affected the clubs performances. For the past three years without silverware, the club is no longer the football giant in the region, and the much-hyped Mashemeji derby is no longer what it used to be because of the poor quality of Ingwe.
