Good job Mr President for rebuking Jubilee MPs

Kenyans have a lot to learn from President Uhuru Kenyatta if we are to move forward in development.

Despite the fact that we got independence a long time a ago, we still have a long way to go to develop this country.

One of our greatest problems is the kind of leaders we vote for whenever we have an opportunity to elect leaders. It is for this reason President Uhuru Kenyatta deserves congratulations from us. This is mainly because of the way he reacted when politicians wanted to dump us in hot soup.

A furious President stormed a meeting of Jubilee MPs and ordered them to abandon a scheme to reject the budget. The dramatic intervention by the President and his deputy William Ruto averted a looming shutdown of Government operations after the House in the afternoon approved a report in the budget estimates.

The dressing down lasted merely 10 minutes during which the President declared he would not tolerate actions meant to sabotage his Government.

The greatest problem we have in this country is that some of the politicians we voted for to represent us in law making do not have any idea what their duties are.

That explains why they actually wanted to place hurdles in the way of Jubilee government so as to make it unoperational in its duty to citizens. Whereas it is understandable what the intention of Opposition MPs was, one cannot understand exactly what Jubilee MPs were really after or what was their interest in a court case.

It is high time Jubilee MPs understood exactly what their duties are. They should fully avoid embarrassing themselves and even being put in police cells like it happened to some of them.
