Punish criminals but spare refugees

It is unfortunate that the Government plans to shut down two refugee camps. A huge bulk of the refugees to be affected are Somalis.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaiserry has cited terrorism, human trafficking and poaching as some of the crimes being organised in the camps hence the decision to shut them. Indeed these are grave crimes that should not be entertained. However, it is saddening to note that it appears the same government machinery that came up with the list of crimes purported to be carried out in the camps, if indeed it is true, is unable to place a finger on the culprits.
