The law of attraction played me dirty

The scorching affair begun on April 2011. There was a new craze in town, a DVD named the ‘secret’.  I had finally managed to persuade my father to give me money to buy the DVD after a series of impressive power point presentations, explaining to my dad why he shouldn’t buy bread for a week and should instead, give me money to buy the ‘secret’. Two hours after getting the DVD I learnt what the secret was.

See just like there is a law of gravity, there is a law of attraction which basically means we attract everything that is in our lives with our thoughts. My fifteen year old self was in bliss. I had finally uncovered the key to end all life’s troubles. I then made a list of everything that I wanted to attract not because I’m smart or dedicated but because that is what the DVD asked me to do. Among the 20 items on the list I will only mention 3 to avoid unnecessary OMG-I-want-to-disappear type of embarrassment.
