A burial of a former legislator in Nyamira turned chaotic as goons stopped leaders from delivering their speeches.

The hired goons among the mourners surged into the podium, making it difficult for the dignitaries who included Governor John Nyagarama, his deputy Amos Nyaribo, County Assembly Speaker Joash Nyamoko, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi and a host of other MPs who attended the funeral of Godfrey Masanya, former North Mugirango MP, to deliver their speeches.

The goons seemed to favour some politicians whom they demanded to be recognised and fought among themselves over who should speak and who should not.

When the situation worsened, former CIC Chairman Charles Nyachae, MPs Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache South) and Samuel Arama (Nakuru West) walked away.
