Mashemeji derby will be at war come Sunday

AFC Leopards appears to be in a form of its life, thrashing teams left right and center. With the new sponsorship from SportPesa and the acquisition of new young players, the former football giant appears to have rejuvenated and it is a force to reckon this season. Having thrashed last season winners of the GOTV shield cup Bandari united in the mid-week, AFC Leopards heads to the Mashemeji derby with a lot of enthusiasm.

The March 6th Mashemeji derby will be an exciting game to watch. Defending champions Gor Mahia are not in good form having been thrashed out of the CAF champions league against Madagascan side CNaps. The defending champions lost some of its valuable players at the end of last season, with the likes of Michael Olunga and Meddie Kagere leaving for greener pastures, and this means its striking force is not as sharp as it were last season. The combination of Jacob Keli and Enock Agwanda is not very much effective, and will not be a big threat to their defense of AFC Leopards.
