Tea factories earn Sh1.2b at Mombasa weekly auction

Smallholder tea factories earned Sh1.19 billion from the auction of 4.47 million kilogrammes (kilos) of green tea to 65 local and international buyers.

Ngere Tea Factory in Murang'a was ranked the highest producer after the delivery of 207,856 kilos which earned it Sh55.08 million, followed by Mununga at Sh46.53 million from the sale of 125,410 kilos.
