President Uhuru Kenyatta has fulfilled a promise he assured to Igembe South Member of Parliament (MP), John Paul Mwirigi, at the Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri.

President Uhuru handed over a brand new vehicle to Mr Mwirigi on Friday, a gift he had promised the young MP when he (Mwirigi) was elected in the August 8 General Election.

An overjoyed Mwirigi thanked the Head of State for the new machine and vowed to serve his constituents better.

Other candidates included Mwenda Mzalendo (7,695), Kubai Mutuma (6,331) and Raphael Muriungi (2,278) votes.

The humble Mwirigi campaigned door-to-door before he received support from boda boda riders in his area.
