Will journalist Johua Sang suffice in 2017 politics?

Former radio journalist, Joshua Sang told the media that he was considering requests by Trans-Nzoia residents to represent them either as governor or senator in 2017.

Though Sang has the constitutional right to vie for any elective post in Trans-Nzoia County or anywhere else in Kenya, his announcement to join politics raised many questions, with leading local politicians questioning his move.

Before even getting time to rest after 9 years battling with International Criminal Court (ICC) cases, Sang is rushing to the same politics that put him in problems. Will the termination of cases of violation of human rights against Sang give him more powers in politics?

It should be noted that Sang's case collapsing does not guarantee him a win in any political seat if he vied for one. There will be no sympathy votes now that his case is over at the ICC.

Politics is a dirty game, you can have many people endorsing you but only to realize that no one votes for you. Sang should instead ask the Jubilee government to consider him for a job before he engages in politics which took him to the ICC.
