Nigerian woman charged with fraud, illegal stay in Kenya

Kisumu,Kenya: A Nigerian has been charged with being in Kenya illegally. Rashidat Oluwakemi Salako alias Risper Ndeda was also accused of fraudulently obtaining documents belonging to the Kenya Government and presenting false documents for the purpose of obtaining a Kenyan passport.

Salako, who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Phylis Shinyada, was arrested by immigration officials at the Huduma Centre building on Monday as she was applying for a Kenyan passport.

She was released on a Sh500,000 bond with two similar sureties and will also be required to report to the police station at 9am daily. The case will be mentioned tomorrow.
