According to the posta estate officer Collin Sule, the land was not lying idle as claimed by the county government since it had already been leased out to four clients who had already paid up. However, Waititu refuted allegations that he had grabbed the land and reiterated that the land which has been lying idle will be put into use to decongest the Garissa Road. The governor said plans to put up a bus terminus on the parcel of land have already commenced. The state corporation in the statement said it was not the first time that the governor was invading its land in the county.
