Gold miner Acacia to meet higher Tanzania royalty demand

Gold miner Acacia Mining Plc said that the company would meet the increased royalty rate of six per cent imposed on metals such as gold, copper, and silver under new Tanzanian natural resources legislation.

The rate has been raised from four per cent and is in addition to the recently imposed clearing fee of one per cent on exports.
