Microsoft to launch Windows 10 around the world on July 29

Microsoft Corp. has announced plans to launch Windows 10 later this month. The upgraded operating system to be unveiled on July 29 will allow users to switch seamlessly between personal computers, tablets, smartphones and other gadgets.

Available for the first time as a free upgrade, Windows 10 is intended to give apps a similar feel on all devices and features new innovations like Cortana, Microsoft Edge and Xbox integration, Windows 10 is the best Windows ever.

"Windows 10 was built to empower people to do great things. We are thrilled to celebrate the launch of Windows 10 with our fans,"  Corporate Vice President of Windows and Devices Marketing at Microsoft, Yusuf Mehdi said. "We'll mark the launch of Windows 10 by celebrating the people and organisations that upgrade the world every day — and by helping them do more in their communities," he added in a statement.

Windows fans have helped shape Windows 10, with 5 million Windows Insiders providing valuable feedback.
