Global hospitality firm to manage Leisure Lodge Resort in Kwale

Kwale, Kenya - Germany based hotel franchisee, Resort International Management and Hospitality Consulting (RIMC) will manage operations of Leisure Lodge Resort, Beach and Golf Conference Centre in Diani, Kwale County.

This is after RIMC, with over 50 hotels under its table, signed an agreement with Leisure Lodge Ltd on Wednesday. "RIMC is a renowned international hotel management company with impeccable credentials, managing more than 50 hotels in Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, India and now Kenya," said Leisure Lodge Resort - Beach, Golf and Conference Centre Executive Director John Mutua.

Global ratings

During the signing ceremony at the hotel, Leisure Lodge Chairman Rasik Kantaria said he expects the partnership to endear them to global ratings and business connections. "With RIMC on board, we are assured of a reputable partner with vast global connection and knowledge in the hospitality industry, who will not only add business opportunities but also ensure our Kenyan staff have access to modern hospitality skills through high-level exchange programmes to work in hotels under RIMC overseas,'' Kantaria said.

Kantaria noted that their co-operation with RIMC has been necessitated by the need to look for a global partner. "With diverse changing global trends, one cannot work in isolation and the need to have RIMC board is a wise decision we took," Kantaria said.

A new General Manager Felix Von Bodman has already been posted to the hotel. RIMC co-owner Marek Riegger who signed the agreement on behalf of RIMC, said they were delighted at the prospects of having operations in Kenya.
