Girl dies of ultra-rare toxic shock syndrome after using tampon for first time

WALES: A teenager who dreamed of one day starring in the West End died of an ultra-rare condition called ‘toxic shock syndrome’ after using a tampon for the first time.

The family of Natasha Scott-Falber have now launched a campaign to warn others about the bacterial infection which afflicts just 40 people per year in Britain.
