Wanjigi said Kirima will be laid to rest by Thursday next week at a date to be confirmed later.

Sort differences

"The committee is ready to resolve any family problems because Kirima would have loved his family and descendants to be involved in a peace legacy," Wanjigi said.

He expressed optimism that resolving the Kirima case would be an example to other families in similar situation that they can fixed domestic disputes without necessarily resorting to court battles.

Wanjigi expressed hope Kirima family will amicably reach consensus over the property row.

"There were doubts as to whether the family would co-operate, but that is behind us. We have put it to rest as both families have agreed and certified the postmortem results," he said.
