Woman poisons self, three minors

A woman poisoned her three children before attempting to commit suicide after a quarrel with her husband in Molo.

Nakuru OCPD Daniel Kimeu said the woman fed the children and herself food she had laced with poison in an attempt to end their lives.

A neighbour who found her and the children, aged between three and 10, lying on the ground writhing in pain called for help and the four were taken to Rift Valley Provincial General Hospital where they were admitted.

The minors are in a stable condition while the mother is still at the Intensive Care Unit.
