Serani and Tudor teams to watch in Mombasa games

Former national boys' U16 football champions Serani High School and Tudor Day are the teams to watch during today's Mombasa Mvita sub-county school games.

The two-day games will be co-hosted by Khamis High School, Tudor Day and Baptist High School.

Mombasa County Secondary Schools Sports Association chairman Peter Watoro said other sub-counties; Kisauni and Changamwe are also expected to hold their games today and tomorrow.

However, Watoro said Likoni sub county has selected their representatives for the Mombasa County games to be held next Thursday and Friday at Shanzu Teachers Training College and Shimo la Tewa High School.

The Term Two games will feature football, volleyball, netball, basketball, hockey, handball, rugby 7's swimming, racquet games and the newly introduced 3x3 basketball.

At the same time, Mseto Mombasa inter-private schools second term games will be on Saturday at Shanzu Teachers Training College. The games' convener Kevin Jwaya said 13 schools have confirmed their participation.

Teams will compete in football, netball and basketball.

"We are set for our inter-school games and will be categorised in Under-11, 13, 14, 16, 17 and U-19," said Jwaya.

Some of the schools expected for the games are Aga Khan Primary, Loreto Convent Mombasa, MM-MV Shah Academy, Busy Bee, Distar School, Leads Group of School, Light Academy Mombasa, Mudzini School, Mombasa Baptist High School and Aga Khan High School.
