Kenya’s Geoffrey Kamworor headlines a strong marathon field and with a great weather forecast in Oregon, unlike the 2019 Doha heat, the race presents a mouthwatering contest between Kenyans and the archrival Ethiopia.  

Kamworor earned 10,000m silver at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing but had impressive results in World Cross Country Championships winning gold in 2015 and 2017, he also excelled in world half marathon taking top honours in in 2014, 2016 and 2018.
