The major contest was between the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) of Raila Odinga, Ford-Kenya of Moses Wetangula, Amani National Congress (ANC) of Musalia Mudavadi and Democratic Action Party (DAP K) of Wafula Wamunyinyi.
