Court freezes county account as resident claims Sh340m looted

Operations at the county government of Mandera could ground to a halt after the High Court issued an order freezing its accounts.

Justice Abida Ali-Aroni issued the order stopping the county government and governor Ali Roba from withdrawing, transferring or dealing with money held in the county government accounts. This is after a resident went to court claiming that the Roba administration had misappropriated Sh340 million.
