Police detain man in connection with the death of lover

Mercy Akinyi (pictured) was allegedly killed by two brothers for having an illicit relationship with their father.

Police have detained a man over the brutal killing of a woman he had an affair with. 

Erick Okoth was arrested after presenting himself to Kisumu Central police station where he went to record a statement about the incident.
