Sonko’s executives to appear before EACC over Sh196m Dandora Stadium payments

Governor Mike Sonko’s cabinet is set to appear before the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) for grilling over the construction of Dandora Stadium this Friday.

A letter seen by The Standard indicates that the executives will be required to appear in shifts on select dates as EACC investigates payments, amounting to Sh196 million in the ongoing construction of Dandora Stadium.

Joyce Kinyanjui (Director IGR & Head of CEC Secretariat), Samwel Kinyanjui (Administration Officer - CEC Secretariat), Peter Mugo (Chief Of Staff) and Leboo Morintat (Deputy County Secretary) are expected to appear before the commission on Friday.

On December 2, Former Acting County Attorney Christine Ireri, Agriculture executive Winfred Gathangu, Devolution executive Larry Wambua, and suspended Health executive Mohamed Dagane will also be seeking audience with EACC.

Roads executive Hitan Majevdia, Environment executive Vesca Kangogo, Trade Allan Igambi, and the Education executive will be appearing on December 3, 2019.

The last batch comprising the Lands executive Pauline Kahiga, ICT executive Newton Munene, and Suspended Finance executive Charles Kerich will show up for questioning on December 4, 2019.
