DPP now moves to new office in Upper Hill

The Office of Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has acquired a new four-storey office block in Nairobi’s Upper Hill.

Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji unveiled the office block on Ragati Road, which he said was conducive for work.

“The office provides a conducive environment for effective and efficient delivery of services,” he said.

The ODPP House, formerly Union House, was acquired at an undisclosed cost.

The office had been factored in the organisation’s 2016-2021 strategic plan.

Objectives captured in the strategic plan included delivery of quality prosecution services, strengthening partnerships and collaborations, reviewing of policies and legal framework for public prosecution, enhancing ODPP’s capacity to deliver on its mandate and modernise ODPP processes and procedures.

Two weeks ago, Haji announced that his office planned to acquire Simba, a Brazilian system of dealing with complex crimes, including corruption and terrorism.
