A 34-year-old man accused of killing his lover and burying her body in a forest is set to take plea on September 18.
According to Nakuru Deputy Registrar Nancy Makau, judges are still on their August-September vacation and the accused, Geoffrey Kipkurui, has to wait.
Ms Makau also directed that Mr Kipkurui undergoes a mental assessment to establish if he is fit to stand trial.
She ordered that Kipkurui be remanded at Nakuru prisons.
Amos Chigiti, a prosecutor, said police were through with their investigations and that murder charges would be preferred against Kipkurui.
According to court documents, Kipkurui attacked Daisy Chebet at their home in Nyota village. Ms Chebet later succumbed to the injuries she had sustained.
Kipkurui is then alleged to have buried Chebet's body in Bargeret Forest.
Police officers from Molo exhumed Chebet's body on August 21
