Uhuru explains why this was the last public commemoration of Mzee Kenyatta’s death

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday led the nation in commemorating the 41st anniversary since the death of Kenya's first President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta in 1978.

The Head of State laid a wreath at the Jomo Kenyatta Mausoleum next to parliament buildings before attending the memorial mass where he announced that this year’s ceremony will be the last public commemoration of Mzee Kenyatta's death.
