Two suspects killed in botched robbery as Embakasi OCS is injured in clash

Two suspected thugs were Monday night shot dead in Kileleshwa area, Nairobi and weapons found on them in a botched robbery.

The men were escaping from a scene of crime when they bumped into a police car. The officers hit back and killed the two while an accomplice escaped on foot.

According to police, a bunch of keys that the men were using to break into houses in the area were recovered from the suspects alongside two pistols.

The area has been experiencing cases of house breaking where residents lose valuables. The incidents happen after collaboration between suspects and guards or caretakers at the premises.

In Embakasi, a police car was damaged in a fire exchange between police and suspected thugs after a robbery.

The local Officer Commanding Police Station (OCS) was injured after the damaged car was involved in an accident.

This happened as police pursued the escaping suspects who had robbed a shop in the area. The suspects managed to escape towards Mukuru slums.

Police said the injured commander is in stable condition in hospital.
