The Kenya Veterinary Association has suspended programmes in Kajiado County.

The Kenya Veterinary Association has suspended programmes in Kajiado County.

The association has also blacklisted the county from hosting any veterinary related celebrations until further notice.

The veterinary practitioner were protesting what they termed as harassment by the askaris from the County Government of Kajiado. [Peterson Githaiga, Standard]
Association's chairman Samwel Kahariri said yesterday during a peaceful demonstration in Ongata Rongai that the decision was made following complaints of harassment of its members by county askaris.

''When asked why they forcefully entered the premises, the askaris harmed our doctors; it was captured by CCTV cameras,'' said Dr Kahariri.
