No parking fee on Monday in 30 towns as JamboPay celebrates 10 years

JamboPay, the innovative electronic payments services provider says motorists in 30 towns in the country will not pay parking fees on Monday, April 29.

This is because the company is marking its tenth anniversary and has decided to gift motorists with free parking.

Motorists in the 30 towns will be required to dial the relevant county USSD codes, web and mobile apps to be eligible for the free parking.

Motorists in Nairobi, Meru, Embu, Makima,Manyatta, Kitale, Kiminini, Endebess, Chuka, Nkubu, Runyeges, Kibugu, Siakago, Kiritiri, Ishiara, Gachoka, Ngiiri Karaba, Maua, Makutano, Kathwana, Chogoria, Marimanti, Gatunga, Maguni,Kibugua,Marima,Cherangani, Kwanza ,Saboti will enjoy free parking on Monday courtesy of the Kenya Fintech.

“The importance we attach to technology and the realization that technology should benefit the society, has made it our commitment to become the best online payments system in Africa,” said the company’s boss Danson Muchemi.

The Kenyan Fintech with operations in six African countries said in a statement it has also partnered with The Kenya Forest Service, Red Cross and the UON Chapter to plant 1,000 trees at the Ngong’ Forest as part of its 10th birthday celebration.

JamboPay provides digital payments services to over 5,000 organizations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana and Somalia.

It processes millions of transactions through mobile phones, over the internet, across banks and on its network of independent agents across the Africa.

It employs over 150 people and has a network of 15,000 agents.?The firm was founded in 2009 in a Cyber Café in Nairobi by Muchemi.
