Road contractor ordered to re-do a tarmacked road in Kitengela

Drama in kitengela as resident confront a road contractor accusing him for doing a shoddy job

The county government has ordered a contractor to re-tarmac a section of a road in Kitengela after complaints from residents.

RoadsExecutive Alex Kilowua gave the directive after area MCA Francis Kaesha and a group of residents confronted TiTikas Construction Limited, which is tarmacking the 1.3km Kitengela-Miriams road, accusing them of a shoddy job.

Kilowua said the contractor should redo part of the road that it paved without removing the top cotton soil. Kaesha said more than Sh40 million has been allocated by the county for the construction of the road.

"If this contractor continues with this poor workmanship, this road will be damaged soon."
