Minors nabbed with drugs at party freed

A court has released 10 minors arrested after they were found in possession of bhang, shisha and alcohol at a birthday party.

Senior Resident Magistrate Daisy Mosse ordered that the 10 be released immediately after Nakuru East Child Protection Officer Salome Waithaka intervened.

Ms Waithaka recommended that the minors, aged between 15 and 17, be freed on condition that their parents monitor their behaviour.

“You are young and will have time to drink and enjoy. But for now you must obey your parents," said Ms Mosse.
