Prison warder who went missing found dead

A 22-year-old prison warder stationed at Nakuru Women GK Prisons who went missing last week has been found dead.

The body of Caroline Jepchirchir Chesire who went missing last Tuesday night was found yesterday dumped in a bush at Githiolo village in Subukia sub-county.

Nakuru Town East sub-county police commander Ellen Kabukuru said a report about the missing officer was made at Nakuru Central Police Station on Monday at around 7.22pm by her father Michael Chesire.

On Wednesday, investigators received information that a body suspected to be of the officer was found dumped in a thicket and moved to Nyahururu hospital morgue.

Officers from Nakuru, together with Chesire's family members, travelled to the morgue where they identified the body.  It had injuries on the chest and head.

Jepchirchir was last spotted together with two prison wardens stationed at Nakuru GK main prison at an entertainment joint in Nakuru town.
