Chelsea are reportedly lining up Zinedine Zidane to be their new manager.

Maurizio Sarri is fighting for his job at Stamford Bridge following Sunday's humiliation at Manchester City.

The Italian looks set to be given a stay of execution by Chelsea chiefs with a crunch fortnight that sees them in action in four competitions, including a Carabao Cup final against City.

However, the writing appears to be on the wall for Sarri, with the Blues reportedly ready to turn to Zidane in a bid to return them to the top table.

The Sun claim Chelsea are ready to move for Zidane, who has been out of work since quitting Real Madrid last summer.

Sarri's future has been plunged into further doubt following the drubbing at the Etihad and the under-fire manager admits his fate is out of his hands.

Asked if he felt he was at risk from the sack, Sarri said: “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask the club.

“I’m worried about my team, worried about the performance, but my job is always at risk, so I’m not too worried about that.”
