I will vie for the Presidency come 2022: Moses Kuria

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has once again bounced back with unanticipated statement after disclosing that he will be on the presidential ballot box come 2022.

The controversial and vocal MP made the remarks during an interview on local FM station Hot 96 with the host Jeff Koinange.

He expressed confidence that he will beat Deputy President William Ruto but promised to give him a job in his government once he becomes the president.

“Believe you me; I will be on the ballot box on 2022. There is nothing that prevents me from doing it” he told a surprised Koinange.

He later went one with another rather controversial declaration that: “Apart from Uhuru and Raila, I am currently the third most famous person in Kenya.”

When Jeff asked him to clarify what he meant, Kuria pointed out a recent event where he was accorded high level security in Kisumu when he accompanied Uhuru and Raila speaks a lot.

“Did you see the kind of security I had in Kisumu? This means I am a respected fellow” he said.

Kuria’s sentiments come merely a few days after speculations were rife that he was planning to quit Jubilee for Democratic Party following a tweet he made.

 On this post, Kuria had drugged the DP flag on his twitter account while claiming that the party will be the vehicle for Mt Kenya.

Although the DP party leadership welcomed him, Kuria is yet to make an official application to join it.

In past remarks, he alluded that he would be running for a governor’s seat saying that there is no way he can resort to doing what he considers “village jobs”

Asked whom he will chose as running mate, Kuria opionated that he would make a good pair with the Deputy President William Ruto.

“I think Ruto can play that part well considering that he has experience in this position” Kuria told Jeff Koinange.

At the same time, Kuria also criticized Jubilee’s housing project claiming it unsustainable agenda.
