Two charged in Kisii Court for having carnal knowledge of a cow

Two men are facing charges of having carnal knowledge with a cow against the order of nature in Kisii County.

Evans Nyagweso and Edgar Omweri pleaded not guilty to the first count of unnatural offence contrary to section 162 (a) of the penal code.

According to the charge sheet, the accused, all residents of Boikanga Village in Gucha South within Kisii County unlawfully had carnal knowledge of a cow against the order of nature.

Appearing before Ogembo Senior Resident Magistrate Magret Nafula the two are further charged with injuring the same cow contrary to section 399 of the penal code.

They are accused that on January 19, 2019, at Boikanga Village in South Mugirango, they jointly and willfully and unlawfully killed an animal capable of being stolen; a cow valued at Sh50,000.

They were released on Sh50,000 cash bail or an alternative bond of Sh150,000.

The suspects will appear in court on February 1, 2019, for a mention of the matter and setting of the hearing date.
