"The ongoing impasse has led to our client's health to continue to deteriorate and his position worsens every day," the letter written by his lawyer Jack Oronga reads. Ojwang's condition was confirmed in a separate letter by prison authorities, who say he was referred to KNH after his health failed to improve, but was turned back. Ojwang' claims he has been left to die at Kamiti Prison. “I have been left at the mercy of nature wherein I continue to wilt, deteriorate and die a slow and painful death,” his letter to Justice Ouko read.
