Family of Meru’s richest man fight over his property

 

• The family of the late Stephen Mutai Imanyara, a founding member of the Co-operative Bank and long serving chair of the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) are fighting over property
• His son Lee Kimathi Mutai has accused and the later billionaire’s other wife Honesty Kanyua of locking them out of his inheritance

A property succession battle is looming over the estate of billionaire tea magnate, Stephen Mutai Imanyara, who was buried this January in Meru County.
