NASA CEO Magaya stirs social media after picking on Police boss Japheth Koome

National Super Alliance (NASA) CEO Norman Magaya said that the coalition does not recognize the coronation of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

Magaya said this on November 27, just a day before the inauguration ceremony for President-elect Uhuru. The inauguration ceremony is being held at Kasarani Sports Complex.

He claimed that Uhuru and Ruto are illegitimate would be ascending to office without the blessings of the majority of Kenyans. He said NASA chose to mourn the 25 victims who were allegedly killed by the police on an event parallel to the inauguration.

The mass memorial, he said, will be held on the same day as the inauguration so that the world can see the state that the country is in.

NASA supporters have been asked to turn out in large numbers at the Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi in honour of their fallen mates.

Magaya claimed NASA is working to see that Principal Raila Odinga and his Deputy Kalonzo will officially assume office. He assured supporters that NASA will give a directive probably on Tuesday.

When asked about the warning by Nairobi Police Commander Japheth Koome against holding the meeting, Magaya said that Koome should keep the police away from the NASA event.

“Koome must reconcile himself with the fact that he cannot have slept under the retired constitution and wake up and seek to take us to the dark day,” he said.

His remarks seemed to rub many Kenyans the wrong way;

I love the way this guy pretend to be living in a lie....keep it up Magaya....if knowledge is too expensive try ignorance— Lawrence Kings (@laurencekingori) November 28, 2017

You might not recognise UK presidency, but that is not a prerequisite for the millions of Kenyans and the world that do— George Waweru (@the1wawesh) November 27, 2017

7.5M Kenyans were not forced to vote. They did it voluntarily. We need to leave all that and think of developing Kenya now— Ricky Komisch (@kiogoraeric05) November 27, 2017
