VIDEO: Gakuru's widow wows netizens with her eloquent speech

The late Governor’s Wahome Gakuru’s widow Catherine Gakuru’s speech will remain in the hearts of many Kenyans.

Catherine, a Cambridge-educated, international human resource consultant remembered him as a man who did everything to make sure his family lived well.

The speech, delivered in proficient English caught the ears of all those who were in attendance.

She remembered the late Governor as a man who was big on discipline and education. She claimed he was once a hustler like Deputy President William Ruto, who was in attendance.

Catherine narrated how she met Gakuru back on campus. “…he was anything but shy”, she recalled.She claimed that Gakuru also led her to salvation.

The late Governor died when his car crashed into a guardrail on November 7. He is the second Governor from Nyeri County to die while in office.

Gakuru's send-off was attended by leaders from all over the country including President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Her eloquence did not go unnoticed by Kenyans.
