Baringo Senator and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi has called on leaders and Kenyans to set their political differences aside and focus on development.

Speaking in Baringo after casting his vote Senator Moi said Kenya is great compared to one’s personal interest and called on Kenyans to unite and shun divisive politics.

"What is important now is having the county move forward and focus on developments, Kenya is great compared to one's personal interest and its time we unite," said Senator Moi.

The senator expressed his confidence on President Uhuru's win and said he should carry out the transformative agenda and leave a legacy upon leaving office.

Voting process in Baringo County went on well despite the slow turn out experienced in most polling stations early in the day and the senator said the peace in the region was worth emulating.

"We campaigned for the president Uhuru and have confidence he will emerge the winner,’’ he said.

Senator Gideon was in company of his wife Zahra Moi and two sons Kigen and Kimoi Moi.
