Miguna Miguna has hit out at Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate, Ekuru Aokot, after his remarks that the repeat presidential election scheduled to take place on October 26 cannot be stopped because of Raila Odinga’s withdrawal.

Miguna said that Mr Aukot allowed himself to fall into President Uhuru Kenyatta’s corner in what he referred to as a ‘fake coronation ritual’.

“My friend Ekuru Aokot has allowed himself to be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s chaperone in a fake coronation ritual,” the popular and vocal lawyer blasted Aukot.

The former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate is expected to appear for an interview today (October 15) on KTN News with the renowned news anchor, Yvonne Okwara (Checkpoint).

Kenyans react:

Aukot now wants the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to include all candidates who participated in the August 8 presidential election in the October 26 repeat poll.

Aukot said the country needs to move on since the fresh poll can’t stop due to Raila’s withdrawal.

Initially, the Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate wanted to file a petition seeking to bar inclusion of other presidential candidates in the repeat poll.

This was after a High Court ruling on Wednesday (October 11) that allowed IEBC to include his name in the poll.
