Deputy president's figures on road expansion overstated

Kenya’s infrastructure has been one of the hottest issues during the ongoing political campaigns with the government citing ‘massive’ road network expansion as one of the key achievements in the past four and half years.

“From independence to the year 2013, we have had 12,000 kilometers (km) of road in 50 years,” explained Deputy President William Ruto during an interview with a local radio station recently.
