The curtains came down on the 91st edition of the annual Kenya Music Festival, with teams giving their very best at the colorful fete Thursday.

President Uhuru Kenyatta will host the winners of the festival at Kakamega State Lodge today and it will be relayed live on national television.

The hall at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology was full to capacity as more than 70 items were presented at the close of the festival, whose theme was 'Enhancing National Unity, Cohesion and Integration'.

Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang closed the event.

"Within two days, we have seen such a rich exchange between Kenya and Uganda teams that today we have managed a joint choral performance," said Chaacha Mwita, the director of co-curricular and field activities at the Ministry of Education.

Central Bank of Kenya Governor Patrick Njoroge and his deputy, Sheila M'Mbijjiwe, were in attendance.
