Why the state need to provide mercenaries, intelligent units to guard our borders

It is sad to hear of terrorist attacks along our borders, especially the Somalia border. Unlike Mandera Governor Ali Roba who has cheated death five times, majority of Kenyans, including security officers have lost their lives in terrorist traps.

This has generated extreme fear that North-Eastern has turned into death catchments. Grenades and landmines are the major explosive detectives that have been used to hit vehicles whenever they step on them.

Time has come for the government to burn its mid-night oil and give its best arsenal to State mercenaries and commandos in conjunction with intelligent units to guard our borders and protect Kenyans during and after the General Election. We need to be assured of a security-free state where our security is guaranteed.

We understand terrorism is a universal dragon and especially from recent Manchester attack that left 22 people dead and dozens injured, I hold my belief strongly that if we use the best of what we have in terms of personnel and protective gears, we can defeat the enemy.

If need arises, we can seek more support from neighbouring counties and involve other countries in the world.
