The Government has put on notice state corporation heads wasting tax payers’ money on foreign trips that do not add value to the institutions.

National Treasury CS Henry Rotich and Pubic Service’s Sicily Kariuki Friday said the government will deal firmly with state agency board chairmen and CEOs who do not rationalise their international travel.

“It does not make sense for a senior official in a government institution to arrive today from a foreign country and go out the next day to a different destination. We will not take that kindly,” said Rotich at a forum of chairpersons and CEOs of state corporations in Nairobi yesterday.

Kariuki said only deserving foreign trips will be funded using public funds.
