Nairobi County to digitise lands registry by February

The Nairobi County plans to digitise lands registry by February next year to end land grabbing.

The Sh384 million Geographic Information System (GIS) will be funded by the World Bank and will replace the manual system, which is prone to manipulation.

County Executive for Lands Christopher Khaemba admitted that multiple allocations has been a major problem, but added that the system they are adopting will end this.

“Once we complete this exercise, we will convene meetings and engage city residents to come up with solutions to disputes that have been giving Governor Evans Kidero sleepless nights,” said Khaemba.
