Bandits attack convoy of students returning from music festival in Baringo County

NAKURU: Police officers on Saturday night thwarted an attack on a convoy of school buses headed to Tiaty Sub County from a music festival which was held at Kabarnet town, Baringo County.

The unknown attackers shot at a bus carrying students from Tangulbei Girls secondary school before police officers who were escorting the convoy responded forcing them to flee. The students escape unhurt during the incident.

The incident comes as the county and its neighbours organize caravans to restore peace after numerous incidences of bloodletting in the recent past.
