European Union launches projects in Nairobi slums targeting women, children

NAIROBI, KENYA: The European Union will launch two projects targeting Kibera and Korogocho women, pregnant women and children with a specific focus on mothers and children with disabilities over the next two to four years.

The projects will be implemented by Handicap International and Save the Children and partners Action Network for Disabled Youth, Nairobi Family Support Services, Light and Hope for children with disabilities, Carolina for Kibera and Family Health Options Kenya who  have a presence in Kibera and Korogocho, together with the Nairobi county and the Ministry of Health.
